"The view alone is worth the drive to this rather remote part of the world. Remote it might be, but there is loads of stuff to do in the neighbourhood once you get to this part of Exmoor"

From spas to surfing, there's something for everyone

The harbour town of Ilfracombe is home to Damien Hirst’s famous Verity statue along with several art galleries. Combe Martin is situated in a stunning bay & is ideal for kayaking. Hele Bay, another beautiful beach is great for coastering.  Appledore is a quaint town at the mouth of the River Torridge & Hartland Point amazing for its dramatic coastal views.  Lynton & Lynmouth are in Exmoor National Park and are home to the unique cliff railway, noted for high sea cliffs and wild goats; two villages on the coast, one above the other referred to by the Victorians as Little Switzerland. Barnstaple famed for its Pannier Market well worth a visit, as is the famous fishing village of Clovelly, where the steep cobbled street tumbles down past gleaming white cottages.  Westward Ho is a small seaside town with a huge sandy beach which extends 2 miles north of the town.  You can also sail across to Lundy for a day of exploring this fascinating island.
