Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made at Sandy Cove Hotel whether online, via the hotel website or by telephone.


All deposits paid for reservations are non-refundable or transferable in the event of a cancellation of your booking.  

All cancellations should be made in writing or by email.

If you wish to cut you stay short when you have arrived at the hotel, the full accommodation charges will apply as will a non-arrival.

Cancellations for New Year

All new year breaks require a deposit at the time of booking of £400, this is a non-refundable or transferable deposit.

The full payment for New Year Breaks is required by the 1st December.  If a cancellation is made after this date the full amount of your stay is non-refundable or transferable.


Our pricing and packages change throughout the year depending on the time of year.  All our prices include VAT.

Arrival & Departure

Hotel rooms are available from 4pm on the day of arrival.  

Guests are welcome to arrive at the hotel before this time to check in and use the hotel facilities. 

Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure, but guests are welcome to use the hotel facilities after checkout.

Accounts need to be settled in full on departure.  Most major credit cards are accepted.  Any goods or services not paid for before departure will be charged to your credit card and a receipt will be sent to you.

Car Parking

Parking at the hotel is free for hotel guests.  When you check in, we will require your car registration number.  Cars are parked at your own risk, we are not liable for any damage or theft.


If there is any damage incurred to your room or Hotel during your stay or for any items missing or damaged when you leave, we reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card.

No Smoking

Guests are not permitted to smoke in the rooms or public areas of the hotel, this includes electronic vaporisers.


All our rates include breakfast.  Any rates that include dinner either include 3 course or have an allowance per person.  There is no refund for meals which are not taken by guests and lunch cannot be taken in place of breakfast or dinner.

Restaurant Bookings

We have 2 restaurants.  The Cove Restaurant is open 7 days a week from 12pm to 9pm, for lunch and dinner.  It is advisable to book your tables in advance to ensure you get a table.  Tables can be booked online.   
The Seacliff restaurant is our fine dining restaurant and is open in the evenings from 6.30pm to 9pm.  Please check the website for the opening days.
If you have any dietary requirement or food allergies please ensure we are made aware of these.

Swimming Pool

To comply with health and safety and our insurance policy please be aware that the following rules apply:

  • No Lone Swimming 
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times on the poolside or in the water.
  • Please read all the other swimming pool rules show on the signs in the pool area.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers should be presented on check-in & when paying for a meal.  Gift vouchers can be purchased on our website.

When making a booking you will be asked for a deposit to secure the room booking.  

Force Majeure

The Company accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
